Time

Days of Distancing. Day 47.

Even though this breaks my arbitrary rule about not repeating things in this photo series. This time it is worth it.

This marked the third time I have been to Square One since its opening. The previous two trips I wasn't exactly happy with the photos I had made, but posted one from the weekend anyway, perhaps a bit impatient to be done with this photo.

Yesterday I went back to get coffee, I almost didn't take my camera. But then I thought, what else am I doing, the one thing the pandemic brings us is time. The ability to take time. For many of us to be more patient.

So I waited a moment there on Duke street, and waited on this photo. And was rewarded with this. Perhaps my favorite I have taken during this pandemic.

I started posting photos here as a way of marking time, each day, a new image. This one isn't so entirely new, but it makes its mark.

A good photo slices time. Captures a moment so quick you might miss it, but then preserves it, making it something that will carry forward thru time.
